We could picture John Mellencamp fighting a heckler in his earlier days. Heck, we could see John Mellencamp fighting a heckler today, and we almost did at a recent show. John stopped the show down to tell a story and someone in the crowd yelled out for him to play some music. John Mellencamp does not take kindly to hecklers. Mellencamp then tries to continue his story but is quickly interrupted by another heckler who demands to hear "Authority Song.". Well that just ticked off Mellencamp who said, "Tell you what I'm gonna do. Since you've been so wonderful, I'm gonna cut about 10 songs out of the show. Here we go." Then John Mellencamp played a few seconds of "Jack & Diane" before announcing, "Know what? Show's over." Who do think was right in this situation? Was ANYONE in the right?
